A few days ago I successfully completed the game Operation Flashpoint on my now slightly archaic computer (CELERON 533Mhz, 137 RAM, RIVAT TNT 2). I've only heard superlatives about this game for years, but the end result still surprised me. In addition, I got the game COMPLETELY in Czech (as befits a Czech game), so there was no shortage of entertainment for the next few days.
Operation Flashpoint - daily cycle
During the gameplay, you find yourself in the bodies (brr, that's disgusting) of several (4 in total) characters that fate has washed over 3 islands (Everon, Malden and Kolgujev). The entire plot of the game takes place in 1985 on the aforementioned imaginary islands (the authors of the game are probably also hockey fans, as they did not forget to mention in the opening intro that Czechoslovakia won the World Cup in ice hockey that year). Operation Flashpoint - technique In the USSR, Gorbachev comes to power and some generals and members of the KGB are quite worried about it. General Guba will attempt to take power himself by taking control of the aforementioned strategic islands.
The whole game is made in the sense of as much reality as possible, usually it is enough for the enemy to hit you once and... he is with you. Everything is enhanced by beautiful music and, for its time (year 2001), great graphics that map areas covering many kilometers (!). I also very positively appreciate the realistic approach to all the sounds of weapons in the game as well as to their graphic processing. As a player, you can act in the body (brr, again) of an infantryman, a tank commander, a helicopter or an airplane. Operation Flashpoint is simply the perfect game for all men who want to become soldiers (and don't want to join the army).
Operation Flashpoint Definitely 100%.
